Politicial Parties

There are two major politicial parties in Ceni, the Cenian Centran Party and the Cenian National Democratic Party. Here are some of their views:

Taxes:
CNDP- This party supports lower overall taxes, lower taxes on corporations, higher taxes for the wealthy, and lower taxes on the middle class
CCP- This party supports lower overall taxes, lower taxes on corporations, lower taxes for the wealthy, and lower taxes for the middle class.

Education:
CNDP-This party supports bonuses for good teachers, less teacher tests, more student tests, and better schools.
CCP-This part supports better schools, less student tests, more teacher tests, and rewards for teachers that do their jobs.

Human Rights:
CNDP- This party supports warrentless searches to root out crime and the 5 fundamental freedoms.
CCP- This party supports privacy rights and the 5 fundamental freedoms.

Military/Defense:
CNDP- This party supports increased military spending, increased security measures, and drafting of troops in wartime.
CCP-This party supports decreased military spending, decreased security measures, and no drafting in wartime.

Environment:
CNDP-This party supports alternative fuuels and rebates for people that buy Energy-Star qualified appliances.

Today, the Cenian Census Bureau announced that the Sartakak sector gained population, from 299 billion to 365 billion.

The Rubei

The Rubei is the Cenian Stock Market index. It is very much like the Dow Jones. To calculate the Rubei, analysts add up all of the stock prices for that day. To calculate the Rubei Average, you divide the Rubei by the number of stocks, currently 24.

Cenians

Cenians

 Cenians are a mammalian species native to the world of Cenaci. Their skin color ranges from dark blue to light blue, and their 2 horns are dark blue. Years of weather-control satellites around Cenaci have eliminated the Cenians’ need for hair. The clawed males and non-clawed females both have 5-fingered hands, which are very dexterous.

 Their homeworld the capitol of Ceni, the most populous species also rules the 15-trillion people country. Cenians are very friendly beings. When ruling their country, the Cenians give the citizens under their rule the 5 fundamental freedoms and don’t prosecute someone just because they don’t like them. When colonizing other planets, they have not feuded with the native population and instead respected the traditions of those species. Therefore, the Cenians earned the respect of many other species. Cenians govern their world with a parliament, with 1 senator representing each district.

 Setting out from Cenaci, the Cenians discovered other species. At the Founding Conference, the Cenians, the Illireans, the Todarolians, the Kattes, and the Michosplak, created the nation of Ceni and made an empire that has lived on forever. Cenians are spread far and wide throughout their territories. Cenians serve on the boards of their companies, which are rich and famous.  Cenians are fond of exploring, and have discovered many other planets. They, along with the Founding Conference members and the Squeevils, the Sauretiks, and the Nananians, are a major spacefaring race.

 Cenians are fond of the pink harhoole, which frolics in the seas of Athabasca, and they eat many tree-dwelling rackos. Cenian products, like starships, weapons, and technology, are sold and the profits invested in those above delicacies.

 Now new countries have entered the fray. Who knows what these countries will do to the Cenians’ empire.

CTR & SST Merge

Today, the CEO of CTR, Kyn Tucin, announced that SST and CTR had agreed to merge at a meeting on Sunday. Tucin, along with SST CEo Car's'on, have not signed the papers today. They will be headquartered on a station orbiting Cenaci, and will provide the same products they did before.

Secret Documents Stolen

Today, the Government of Jacobia announced it had discovered a secret document. The document had senator names on it, the press release said. Informant T. Posy had found the document in a locker that was unlocked. He then gave it to Jacobia because they paid a lot for it. The list included A. Cury, a soldier of Jacobia that was under suspicion of being against him. This document reinforced the suspicion. Cenian officials suspect that Jacobia will move to arrest the senators as a way to get at Ceni. We hope that will never happen.

Sectors Change Name

As of today, the Ritch sector will be known as the Miros sector and the Meoth sector will change to the Tritrar sector. The change has been announced because inhabitants of those sectors and traders have not come by those out of the way capitols to do business. Therefore the governments moved the capitols to planets that can be easily reached by hyperspace.

Soccer Tournament

Today, there was a huge soccer tournament on Coclat. The results were Interplanetary Congress 1- Adams 0. There were some very good players in the mix. It was very exiting. The Adams team thwarted most of the attempts on the goal, and even though the Adams team got very close to the IPC goal, they always missed or their ball was intercepted. This gives the IPC a win in the very first International Soccer Tournament.

New Country threatens Ceni

Today, a new country threatened to bomb Ceni. Grantopolis syas it has unlimited money, a huge military, and very many nuclear bombs. That is very unlikely for a minute-old country. The country was probably bluffing at a meeting on Cenaci. We would not want a bombing, so stay on alert, military personnel.

Zebrika and Alecino join the War

After the defeat at the Battle of the Harlet System, Alecino (with its large army) and Zebrika (with its nuclear missles) joined the fight on Ceni's side.

Battle of the Harlet System

Today, the forces of Jacobia attacked a Bananay convoy. They hopped into the Harlet system, in Bananay space, to harass several freighters carrying blasters and food. There was a starfighter squadron guarding the convoy, and it was all destroyed. The Jacobians took over the freighters and Bananay didn't have the supplies.  This was a blow to the war against Jacobia. The Cenians will be planning a counter-attack.
