Kattes

Kattes
Kattes are a feline species native to Katinal. Covered in fur from head to toe, Kattes have a long prehensile tail. The light brown to light tan furred species have 3 clawed fingers on each rounded hand. A dark stripe on their heads gives status in Katte society.
Kattes are aggressive by nature, friendly by choice. They adore other species, although will be aggressive to those trying to enslave their massive strength. To exercise on their planet, Kattes practice a form of sword fighting called ukagami. Ukagami is very artistic in form, and is more like dance than sword fighting. As a test of puberty, Kattes venture out from their cities and hunt the dangerous karlami. It is very hard to hunt the karlami, especially with bare hands. Kattes govern themselves with an elected king or queen. The competitors for king or queen fight with their tails and with ukagami swords to determine the victor.
Kattes, as one of Ceni’s founding species, are found throughout their territories, and journey to Katinal to pay homage to the all-seeing god Ik’aren. Ik’aren’s temple is studded in gold and platinum inserts. Kattes aren’t very trusting, and can only trust the special goods for their species to themselves, and they founded Katte Corp. to supply those needs. Kattes seen are often ukagami fighters, which are in great demand on other planets, and travelers wishing to see the great sights of Ceni. Kattes have the ultimate devotion to their country, and that devotion will never waver.

Illireans

Illireans
When Cenian explorers reached Illirea, the native Illireans were happy to join their expanding empire. To survive the frequent snowstorms that harass their planet, the Illireans developed a layer of blubber and fat. And their four nostrils, set in right between the eyes, helped them to smell the massive inkago before it attacked. Illirean skin color ranges from light tan to dark gray and 4 fingers on each hand helped them grasp the inkago.
Today the inkago is all but extinct, due to the rapid expansion of cities. Illireans have become lazy since the extinction of the inkago, relaxing in a bustling metropolis as large as Cenaci. No less could be expected from Cenaci’s next door neighbor. The Illirean religion, Jedi, emphasizes peace in daily lives. To govern themselves, the Illireans look to a council of 12 officials elected by the people. Those officials make laws, and otherwise manage the day-to-day lives of Illireans. The Illireans, along with the Cenians, the Kattes, the Michosplaks, and the Todarolians, are considered the founding species of Ceni, as they participated in the founding conference. Illireans are verdant pacifists, and discourage war in their galaxy. The Illireans, when colonizing worlds, respected the native environment. Illireans refrain from starting feuds, and will not attack another country without being attacked, and are admired by many people by resisting war in all situations. Illirean colonists are spread far and wide, and Illireans will continue to coexist with the world around them as long as their race lives.

Should Ceni Commission New Star Defender?

The question of whether Ceni should commission a new Star Defender or recommission an older one is up for debate in the Cenian Assembly. Their purpose is supposed to be defending the front lines against any invasion or atrocities the nation of Waterloo might commit. "We need new warships to defend the front lines!" says conservative senator Truelock Mitchorn. "Build more ships!" Other senators, however, have qualms about this project.

Waterloo Saboteurs destroy 2 of Cenaci's Power Plants

The Cenian government, CTR, New Aire, and many other corporation's facilities computers were shut down, leading to millions of Bewlegi in losses. Government analysts quickly linked the explosions with a group of Holy Wolves touring the plants on a "diplomatic mission". Witnesses said that they were carrying numerous items that looked like detonators or canisters. The saboteurs were killed in the blast that left many wanting to declare war on Waterloo. "This only adds to the number of diplomatic and military actions that either insulted Ceni, broke Cenian law, or destroyed items that were important to Ceni that Waterloo had been proved to behind. This deserves war!" said war hawk Senator of Pandolo sector John Trebor. Should Ceni declare war or should it not? This will raise many interesting questions in the national government.

King Throzzels Popster Seperation Leader

In a spirited diplomatic conference today, Kyn Tucin proved why he was chosen to be king. A Popster separation leader said he would secede Monday. He would charge lower taxes, but they would all go to himself. Tucin rattled off dozens of things the populace wouldn't have if they seceded, and said they would likely protest. The leader countered that he would just jail all the protesters or attach them to orbital mines and when they blew up, they would die. Tucin said there wouldn't be any jails and the latter plan was just cruel. The leader immediately backed down.
