On the border of Therrion and Ceni, the border planets of Ceru and Cetiorari are asking to join Ceni. What makes this border dispute notable is that Ceru and Cetiorari both have substantial reserves of flannium, a metal used in hyperdrive construction. The planets have been gradually populated by Cenians, and the native Certians are looking to escape the harsh penalties from trading with their neighbor, Ceni, and harsh taxes imposed by Therrion to maintain a military. Therrion leader Nathen Ghyron is refusing to let Ceru and Cetiorari go, claiming "sovereign dominance" over the two planets. Ceni is pushing for the planets to go to whoever the inhabitants want. The Therrions, however, are refusing. These tensions may escalate into war, as Ceni wants all people to be free and belong to whatever country they wish. Ceni will obey the will of the Certian people. Also, Ceni wishes to have the flannium deposits in its hands. But the Therrions will not give up their planets, due to their leader's greed. In fact, he claims the Cenian border planet of Celebes as his own after it broke away several years ago.
