Fransisco dos Santos Quits Race

Realizing that he could never catch up to Davet Laraud or Cara Crantat, Fransisco dos Santos has quit the race for the Cenian Conservative Union nomination for President, upsetting many who hoped the former Deputy Chancellor candidate would be President.
The former candidate was trailing Laraud and Crantat in delegates and could never catch up to them. He did, however, put up a long and noble fight against them.
Dos Santos was known as a moderate, one who could reach many voters and swing them to the CCU. However, Kyn Tucin trounced him and his running mate, Kartot Tarat, in the election, 40% to 15%.
The New Cenian politician said to cheering crowds:“My campaign this year is over, but my political life is not!”
His departure cleared the way for eventual nominee Davet Laraud to continue. Laraud said that “Today is a happy day. I heard that Mr. dos Santos was suspending his campaign and I talked with him. Now we can continue with the goal of making the government smaller!”
Dos Santos was accompanied to the event on Orstat by his wife, Ladonna dos Santos, and his children, Francisco dos Santos Jr. and Agustin dos Santos.
