General elections

When: January, every 2 years
Where to vote: Regular polling place
Positions up for vote: Senators and Assemblypeople

King elections

When: January, every 5 years
Where to vote: Regular polling place
Positions up for vote: King, Prime Minister

Local elections

When: As specified by local laws
Where to vote: Regular polling place
Positions up for vote: Sector wide officials (Governor, Lt. Governor, etc.), Planet wide officials (Governor, Lt. Governor, etc.), local officials

Primary elections

When: As specified by local laws
Where to vote: Regular polling place
Positions up for vote: None.  (Instead, voters who are affiliated with political parties nominate their candidates to run in the January general election.)

Party Caucuses

When: As specified by local laws
Where to vote: Caucus sites set by politicial parties
Positions up for vote: None. (Parties meet to elect precinct chairs and other party officials, discuss party platforms, and conduct other business.)
