Suitt v. Starlight Publishing Reaches Supreme Court

Today, Suitt v. Starlight Publishing reached the Supreme Court. Neil Suitt, a journalist, was applying for a job at Starlight Publishing, the publisher of the Royal Times, and was denied the job because he was "too conservative for a liberal newspaper". Suitt sued. A federal court sided with the Tucin-run public business but Suitt appealed. The Supreme Court sided with Suitt, 9-3. Justice Cody Radin wrote the opinion. "We sided with Mr. Suitt because the business discriminated based on political views, and what was bad in the first place only got worse because King Tucin had a significant amount of interest in that business." The court also demanded that the king only own 5% of the business. The ruling was a major victory for conservatives and civil rights lawyers alike.
